Building your own drum for ceremonial use is the best
way to bring one into your life. It has your energy
from the beginning. And it’s fun.
Choose either a round or octagonal frame, nominal
dimension 15 inch by 2 ½. Head and lacing is typically
elk.
The frames are poplar, a genus of cottonwood, or if
requested, western cedar.
